The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs meets with the Head of the NDC

The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, met with Abdul Rahman Attash, the Head of the Emirati National Development Corporation, to follow up on the commitments made during the National Labor Conference (LNC).
First, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs appreciates the Emirati National Development Corporation's efforts and completion of Nationwide projects in various sectors. One of the main goals of the National Labor Conference was to create job opportunities for nearly 1.5 million citizens over the next years, both directly and indirectly, His Excellency stated. The Emirati National Development Corporation is among those institutions that pledged to provide a significant number of employment opportunities. We aim to hold follow-up meetings with all involved institutions in the LNC. We want to know and ensure the implementation of the hiring process and share information regarding the recruitment process of people, and in which sector they are hired.
It is our duty and responsibility to coordinate with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and provide job opportunities to professional workers and to reduce the unemployment rate in the country, Abdul Rahman Attash, Head of the Emirati National Development Corporation, replied.
Afghanistan is now stable and secure, and major projects are underway throughout the country. We have witnessed significant and positive achievements in employment and recruitment in different IEA institutions. However, poverty and unemployment remain fundamental challenges for our people. So, it is our duty and responsibility to accelerate our activities which will bring meaningful changes in the economy of our country, He further added.
Mr. Attash also emphasized we have taken actions for the fulfillment of our commitments made during the National Labor Conference, and relevant information will be shared with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
