Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs Meets with the Head of the International Labor Organization in Afghanistan
The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, met in his office with the Head of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Afghanistan, Mr. Tite Habiyakare. They discuss the expansion of working relations, the creation of job opportunities, and the protection of the rights of workers and employees.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs strives, in coordination with partner institutions, to take effective steps in the labor sector in light of national and international standards. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs urges Mr. Tite Habiyakare, the Head of the ILO in Afghanistan, to enhance the organization's collaboration with the Ministry in accordance with the ministry's principles. Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai added these remarks while welcoming the guests.
Subsequently, the Head of the ILO in Afghanistan, Mr. Tite Habiyakare, expressed satisfaction with the activities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in various sectors. He shared information regarding the organization’s activities, achievements, and programs and held comprehensive discussions aimed at ensuring the rights of employers and workers, providing safe working conditions, and promoting social justice. He also praised the ministry’s recent efforts and activities in improving working conditions and employment opportunities in Afghanistan.
At the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continued relations, regular coordination, and holding joint meetings. They agreed to work jointly on implementing practical actions to strengthen cooperation.
