Children Rights Technical Protection Committee held a second meeting

This meeting of Children Rights Technical Protection Committee was launched under the leadership of Mr. Sayeed Anwar Sadat acting minister of Labor and Social Affairs that discussed and argued about the children rights protection committee’s performance bill, child law related conflicts in parliament and a comprehensive discussion about public awareness of citizens about this law.

Beside of welcoming the participators of this meeting, acting minister of Labor and Social Affairs briefed them about the arguments and opinions conflicts on children protection law in Afghan parliament, to solve these conflicts I have met with the speaker of parliament, deputies and some other members and he also suggested from the participants and from all members of the technical committee to cooperate in passing the mentioned law in parliament.

Deputy Minister of Social affairs, Ghulam Haider Jelani talked about the importance of related Ministeries and Organizations cooperation for the passing of the children protection law and suggest from all of them to submit your recommendations to provincial officials about the children protection committee work performances.

Representatives and assistants of the related Ministries and Institutions participated in this session, shared their inclusive thoughts with the leadership of the Ministry about the conflict opinions on children protection law by some MPs in parliament, public awareness about procedures and bill of technical committee performances, the procedures and bill of the technical committee is important to handle the children problems timely, all the participants vowed to cooperate in this section.

we should work on practical mechanisms depending on the current situation of our country because we have the law, responsibilities are specific, we have the support of the leadership, then we should take fast steps according to the law said, Sayeed Anwar Sadat Said during the conclusion of this gathering.

beside the appreciation from members of the technical committee we suggest their cooperation at the provincial level said, Sayeed Anwar Sadat. provincial committees must be coordinated with the independent department of local governance (IDLG) to appoint the governors as the head of these committees at the provincial level. he added that the provincial committees should have representatives from all related non-governmental organizations and institutions who are working in the children.
