The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs met with the Da Afghanistan Bank Governor

Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, met with the Governor General of Da Afghanistan Bank, Mawlavi Noor Ahmad Agha, in order to follow up on the commitments of the National Labor Conference, promote and support small and medium-sized enterprises in society, and overall provide facilities for domestic and foreign investors.

In order to reduce the unemployment rate and poverty in our country, it is essential that both the Emirati and private sectors work together. It is important to follow up on the commitments that we made during the National Labor Conference to achieve the mentioned goals, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs added these remarks at the beginning of the meeting. 

Da Afghanistan Bank is working to reduce the unemployment and poverty within the country. Da Afghanistan Bank has taken concrete steps in this regard; for example, now the customers can take more amounts of money from their deposits and we have eased restrictions on taking deposits from their bank accounts. Da Afghanistan Bank maintained the national currency stability. Banks are determined to provide short term and long-term loans within the Islamic Sharia framework to support and promote both small and medium sized enterprises. If the Da Afghanistan Bank reserves released, DAB will significantly decrease the level of poverty and unemployment rate in the country. The Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank, Mawlavi Noor Ahmad Agha, added these remarks during the meeting. 

In the end, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs praised the ongoing efforts of Da Afghanistan Bank in reducing poverty and unemployment, and thanked them for their activities, and called to provide further facilities for the investors and entrepreneurs.
