Third Meeting Held at MOLSA to Prevent the Illegal Deployment of Afghan Workers Abroad

Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai chaired a third meeting in his office to assess the prevention of illegal deployment of Afghan workers abroad. In this meeting, representatives from the Ministries of Interior Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Information and Culture, Pilgrimages and Religious Affairs, Public Health, Justice, and the National Statistics and Information Authority.
First, the representative from the aforementioned ministries and NSIA shared Afghan Workers' challenges inside and outside of Afghanistan. They also discussed available opportunities and the Afghan Workers protection and their rights. The meeting participants exchanged their views on how to prevent the illegal deployment of Afghan laborers abroad. They also talked about their responsibilities and agreed to make a strategy to resolve the existing issues.
Following this, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs appreciates the ongoing efforts from the representatives of the aforementioned Ministries and NSIA. He spoke about these issues and urged to prevent illegal labor migration, combat human trafficking, protect workers' rights, workers' dignity, and safety. To address these issues, we need coordinated work between the relevant institutions. He also discussed the need to establish a safe and legal employment process to develop a legal mechanism for the Afghan laborers deployment abroad.
In conclusion, Mawlawi Ahmadzai called on the representatives of Ministries and NSIA to take effective and decisive steps in coordination with private employment Companies, to prevent illegal human trafficking.
