Afghanistan is moving to become an Export Oriented Country

The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, participated in and delivered a speech at the National Industry Week Exhibition (NIWE) closing ceremony.
The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs expressed his satisfaction with organizing NIWE. He stated, “A few years ago, the idea of producing or exporting goods in Afghanistan seemed impossible, but now it is clear to everyone that not only are many products being manufactured domestically, but in some areas, we have reached self-sufficiency. Afghan products are even being exported to foreign countries. This demonstrates the effective coordination between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the private sector, both of whom are committed to serving the country and its people.”
Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai added, “This and similar domestic and international exhibitions have shown that Afghanistan is now on the path from being an import-dependent country to becoming an export-oriented nation. Capacities and conditions have been developed in various sectors to achieve self-reliance, and notable progress is being made across different areas.”
He also thanked the organizer for allocating a booth in this exhibition for products made by individuals who have recovered from addiction. These people received vocational training in various programs, which were facilitated by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for these individuals. Their products were appreciated by the visitors in this exhibition.
In conclusion, he called on Afghan investors to increase their investments within the country and to encourage Afghan investors abroad to bring their capital back to Afghanistan.
In this event, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs was accompanied by the General Director of Skills Development, Mawlavi Rahimullah Sarah, and the Director of Media, Samiullah Ibrahimi were also present.
