The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs Met with the Minister of Economy
The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, along with his delegation, met with the Minister of Economy, Alhaj Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, and they discussed employment and strengthening the economic coordination.
At the beginning of the meeting, the deputy minister, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, spoke about how to increase employment opportunities, the current situation of the labor market, and providing job opportunities for youth, especially for returning migrants from neighboring countries. He also discussed expanding technical and vocational education, verifying skills, aligning institutional activities with labor market needs in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, preventing overlap in duties, and reducing the unemployment rate. He requested greater cooperation from the Ministry of Economy in these areas.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs added that in coordination with partner institutions, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is striving to provide technical and vocational training opportunities for returning migrants and out-of-school youth based on labor market needs. After completing the courses, they will become skilled workers and earn a legal income.
After that, the Minister of Economy, Alhaj Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, described coordination between the two ministries as essential for the country’s economic stability and sustainable development. He added that within the framework of national economic policies, the expansion of employment holds special importance and is expected to create effective coordination among economic institutions, bring positive changes in the employment sector, and play a key role in addressing unemployment.
Mr. Hanif assured that the Ministry of Economy will fully cooperate with the programs of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to significantly address the unemployment problem in the country.
