The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Meets the Director of ACBAR in the Country
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, today met in his office with the country Director of the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief and Development (ACBAR) in Afghanistan, Namik Haydarov, along with his accompanying delegation.
Both sides discussed ways to reduce the level of unemployment and poverty in Afghanistan, solutions to these issues, better coordination of aid, ensuring aid reaches those who deserve it, and addressing the problems faced by vulnerable groups across the country, as well as strengthening social protection.
In order to reduce poverty and ensure better distribution of humanitarian aid, it is essential that there should be full coordination with government institutions especially the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the design and implementation of aid-related projects. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is working on its five-year strategic plan, which fortunately is in its final stages, and expressed hope that this plan will be shared with the people of Afghanistan through a conference and media, together with representatives of ACBAR. Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, the minister of Labor and Social Affairs said during the meeting.
The Director of ACBAR, Namik Haydarov, after giving an overview and assessment of Afghanistan’s social situation, pledged that ACBAR will share the real picture of Afghan society with supporting organizations and will work to ensure that the proposals and viewpoints of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan are considered in all projects.
Mr. Haydarov also expressed his satisfaction with the development of the five-year strategic plan and assured that ACBAR will provide full coordination and cooperation in all areas of the plan related to the organizations.
