MOLSA’s Acting Minister meets with ILO’s Country Director
Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, accompanied with Mawlawi Din Muhmmad Haqbeen Deputy Finance and Administrative Minister and Mullah Sharafuddin Sharaf, Chief of staff, met in his office with Ramin Behzad Country Director of International labor organization.
At the beginning of the meeting, beside of presenting information about the background, activities and future plans on international labor organization in Afghanistan, Mr. Ramin Behzad told the Acting Minister: ILO has tried to pave the ground for the transformation of international standards and professional expertise to Afghanistan, and we have successful achievements in this area.
Beside this, we are determined to extend the Decent work program and tripartite dialogue between government-laborers organizations and Employers, which had positive impacts on the labor Market in Afghanistan, Mr. Behzad Added.
We expect that the international Labor organization will work in close cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, for the purpose of achieving positive results in sharing of professional expertise and to increase employment rate in our country, Acting Minister Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari added.
Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is determined to hold Labor conference in National level with the inclusion of International Labor organization’s Kabul office and local laborers organizations to study and solve the problems and challenges of Afghan Labor Market, and in this Area the cooperation of ILO is critical, Mullah Omari Said and Mr, Behzad reciprocated to cooperate.
At the end both sides emphasized to continue these kinds of bilateral meetings between MOLSA and ILO in the future.
