In this meeting representatives from the Ministries of Refugees and Repatriation, Industry and Commerce, Economy, and Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock. The purpose of the meeting was how to create job opportunities for returning citizens.
During the meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on creating employment opportunities for returnees, assessing their skills, implementing short-term beneficial programs, expanding technical and vocational training based on labor market needs, and ensuring sustainable employment opportunities for them. These efforts are expected not only to improve their economic conditions but also to contribute significantly to overall economic stability in society.
Returning citizens face numerous challenges, and supporting them is a shared responsibility of all relevant institutions. Through effective coordination between government institutions and the private sector, returnees should first be properly assessed and then provided with job opportunities in relevant sectors according to their skills and capabilities. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, added these remarks to the participants of the meeting.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs leads the employment committee under the High Commission for addressing returnees issues, with other related ministries as members. This committee primarily focuses in its meetings on strategies for providing employment opportunities to returning citizens and on implementing joint actions in this regard.
