Last year, nearly 15,000 Social Cases of Children Affected by Harm were Addressed
The Child Protection Directorate of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, through the implementation of extensive support programs in 2025/26 followed up on thousands of child-related cases. These initiatives consist of providing public awareness to children and their families, it helped to ensure children's rights and to improve their conditions.
During the past year, the Child Protection Directorate played an effective role in safeguarding children by strengthening support systems and expanding social services. In total, the Child Protection Directorate in 23 categories followed up and resolved 14594 cases of affected children.
In addition, the Ministry conducted widespread public awareness campaigns, reaching 404,207 children and their family members. These programs focused on key topics such as children's rights, protection from explosive hazards, environmental awareness, and other critical issues affecting child well-being.
To strengthen local structures and improve access to child protection services, the child protection committees were established in 20 additional districts. These committees play a vital role in improving coordination among government institutions, identifying child protection cases, and facilitating the provision of necessary services.
Currently, child protection committees are active in 204 districts across the country and regularly address children's issues.
