Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Launches for the very First Time the National Skills Certification Program
On the initiative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the process of certifying skills in various professions has been launched for the very first time in the country’s history.
Fortunately, today at the national level, in the first phase, 600 individuals from the capital and provinces are participating in written and oral examinations across ten professions, such as plumbing, tailoring, metalwork, UPVC, building electrical work, refrigeration, air conditioning, motor vehicle repairing, repairing of household electrical appliances, repairing of mobile phones, furniture and carpentry, solar systems, and computer hardware. After successfully completing the process, they will receive certificates at national and international level. Through this, skilled and semi-skilled workers will be introduced to national projects and the labor market in a standardized and reliable manner. Engineer Ahmad Imran Kharoti, Advisor for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Acting Head of the Capabilities of Verifications, said to the participants of the exam.
Through this national process, the skills of tens of thousands of citizens who are experienced in their professions but lack of official certification will be formally assessed by professional instructors. Those who meet the required standards will then receive recognized certification for their competencies and capabilities from the Directorate of Capabilities and Verifications.
