The Department of Labor, Inspection, and Guidance of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs inspected 118 IEA and non-IEA institutions in the first quarter of 1403 (Solar Hijri).

In the 118 institutions mentioned above, inspections were carried out in 12 Emirati and independent institutions, 80 manufacturing companies and technical enterprises, and 26 internal and external NGOs and organizations. As a result of these inspections, a total of 8,485 Afghan nationals and 43 foreign individuals were identified who did not possess a valid work permit. These individuals were officially referred to the General Directorate of Work Forces under the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for obtaining proper work permits.

It is worth mentioning that inspections are carried out in institutions according to laws, regulations, and procedures. In addition, to prevent corruption, disorder, and negligence in the workplace. The inspection will pave the way to ensure workers’ rights, safety, wages, salaries, and contract conditions between employees and employers. Finally, to provide a safe and secure working environment for employees and workers.
