The Employment Opportunities Committee for Returnees held a regular meeting at the MoLSA

Under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai held a regular meeting with the committee members responsible for providing employment opportunities for returnees. This committee consists of representatives from various relevant ministries. During this meeting, a list of nearly 2,000 returnees was shared with various IAE institutions for employment purposes. The list contained details of their educational background, profession, and experience.
In this meeting representatives from the Ministries of Refugees and Repatriation, Industry and Commerce, Economy, and Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock were present. It was stated that the process of submitting such lists would continue in the future, and we ask the IEA institutions and private sectors to assist us in this regard by hiring them based on their skills.
It was clarified that each ministry would fulfill its responsibility; for example, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will expand vocational training programs. The Ministry of Economy will work to attract assistance and support from IEA institutions and international NGOs. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce will facilitate investment opportunities for recently returned entrepreneurs. The Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation will continue its work to provide shelter and other necessary services. The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock will train the returnees in the Agriculture sector.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs chairs the Employment Committee, which includes the aforementioned ministries as members. The focus of these meetings is to provide employment opportunities for returnees to the country and to work together to achieve these goals.
