The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Inspected 470 Governmental and Non-Governmental Institutions Last Year

The Directorate of Labor Inspection and Guidance conducted inspections of 470 governmental and non-governmental institutions last year. This inspection covered manufacturing companies, telecommunications firms, private hospitals, domestic and international organizations both in the center and in the provinces. These inspections evaluated employee contracts, working conditions, salaries, safety, and other work-related matters.

During the same period, the Directorate of Labor Inspection and Guidance also received 50 petitions and labor complaints. The Directorate fully addressed 45 cases and 292 employees obtained their rights in the end.

Additionally, through the activities of labor inspectors, mobile monitoring teams, work permit control, and follow-up units, identified a number of domestic and foreign workers who did not possess legal work permits. These individuals were referred to the General Directorate of Work Forces to obtain a proper legal work permit.

The main objectives of these efforts are to promote transparency in the workplace, ensure accountability, improve the organization of labor relations, prevent forced labor, protect workers’ rights, and establish an effective system for addressing complaints.
